Cushion foundations are all the talk these days, and whether it’s a drugstore brand or high-end, it seems that each has their own version. Some are even branching out into cushion primers, highlighters, contours, and more! A couple of the drugstore brands released their version of this foundation a while back – L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation and Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation – but Wet n Wild, which I was most excited about, is the most recent one to release their MegaCushion Foundation!

With a cushion compact, the Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation is advertised as a great way to choose the coverage that you are looking for. It claims to boost hydration with a lightweight formula. With an air-tight compact, it’s extremely easy to travel with and fast to apply! The formula comes in eight different shades – ranging from Light Ivory to Tawny.

With my lighter skin, I picked up the shade Light Ivory, which I think is an overall good match. From looking at the compact, I was afraid this shade was going to be too dark, but it actually seems to apply lighter than what it looks like! The cushion seems to hold quite a bit of product and it’s really easy to grab the perfect amount of foundation.

To apply the foundation, I’ve been using my beautyblender pro, which makes the application a breeze! On the skin, the foundation has light to medium coverage, but it is buildable! It has a dewy finish, which is the only reason I hesitate to add too much foundation to my skin. Overall, it looks natural on the skin and adds a lot of hydration.

If you have normal to dry skin, this product would sit beautifully on the skin! If you have combination to oily skin, I’d definitely recommend using an oil controlling primer or mattifying setting powder over the foundation. I love the overall feeling of the foundation on the skin, but with my combination skin, it can add too much hydration to my skin. I usually try to use a primer such as the BareMinerals Combo Control Primer and a setting powder to lock in the foundation. With the added oil control, the foundation normally lasts be around 8 hours before it starts breaking down!

In all, I love how easy this foundation is to travel with and apply! It is extremely hydrating, which could be great for some, but a mess for others! But, with the addition of a few oil controlling products, this foundation can work for anyone! It’s a great easy, everyday foundation!
