For quite a while, the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream from Sol de Janerio has been all the rave! It’s one of the hottest products on the market and becomes an amazing steal if you can grab it while there’s a discount code (hint… current Sephora coupon)! With claims of tightening and smoothing the look of skin, it’s hard to pass it up!
This Bum Bum Cream is made with guaraná, a blend of nourishing cupuaçu butter, antioxidant açaí, and coconut oil! It claims to be fast absorbing and uses mica to create the perfect glow. The fragrance is a sweet, Pistachio caramel (although I just a strong caramel scent), which lingers on the skin for a few hours and adds the perfect sweetness alone or paired with a perfume! I love the scent and how long it lasts on the skin, but it never feels overpowering! I hate body butters where the scent overpowers any perfume or body mist that you want to put on over it, and this definitely doesn’t do that!
The consistency of the body cream is between a lotion and body butter. I don’t find that it’s as thick as the normal body butters that I have used in the past – such as Bath & Body Works or The Body Shop. Both of those are body butters where I feel like the consistency is so thick that it has trouble sinking into the skin. This Bum Bum Cream feels a little lighter than these typical body butters, but isn’t quite as thin as a body lotion! It’s the perfect in-between consistency that feels so nourishing on the skin, but sinks in without any issues! Within just a day of using the product, my skin feels hydrated and smooth! I’m so surprised by the results! I’m excited to keep using this to see the long-term results!
In all, this is an awesome body cream! I’m so surprised by how much I love this – the scent and consistency couldn’t be better! This will be a staple in my body skincare routine from here out!
