Not Your Mother’s recently released a new natural line of haircare products! These products are created without the use of sulfates, silicones, parabens, and synthetic dyes, and was created with six different hair treatments in mind – Curl Defining, Repair & Protect, Volume Boost, High Moisture, Sea Minerals, and High Nutrience. The Sea Minerals line caught my eye because of the claims of weightless hydration with electrolyte minerals, which sounds perfect for everyday use!
With this new line, the shampoo and conditioners come in 16 oz bottles with pumps, which I love! All the packaging is bright and color coordinated, which makes it easy to pick out products that are from the same line. With the Sea Minerals line, there are two main ingredients that are promoted: Blue Sea Kale and Pure Coconut Water. The blue sea kale is used to moisturize the hair, while the pure coconut water prepares the hair for a revitalized style.
I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner for a couple of weeks now and I am really enjoying them! The shampoo feels very lightweight on the hair, but still cleanses and conditions! I find that you don’t need to use very much for the shampoo to lather up, which is something that some sulfate free shampoos don’t always do! My hair never feels stripped or dry after using this!
The conditioner also feels extremely lightweight, however, it is just as conditioning as some of the thicker conditioners I have used in the past! I typically leave the conditioner on my hair anywhere from one to three minutes. After rinsing this out, my hair feels soft and conditioned, but doesn’t feel weighed down!
